About Us

At the heart of Healthy Initiative lies a profound commitment to empowering and supporting young people, fostering an environment where they not only recognize the array of choices available to them but also actively pursue and achieve their aspirations. We understand that everyone’s journey is unique, and our multifaceted approach aims to provide comprehensive, holistic support. Whether it’s offering housing advice, navigating the complexities of the job market through employability workshops, or standing up against injustice through advocacy initiatives, we’re here for every step of the way. Our mission extends beyond immediate needs, delving into the realms of mental health support, recognising that well-being is essential for personal growth. Our interventions are tailored and targeted providing advice, support and guidance to help our participants negotiate the following specific areas: Benefit advice; Debt-management; Food and fuel poverty relief; housing assistance (Including maintenance problems/issues). We also ensure that we have adequate contingency facilities to help navigate any unforeseen circumstances. Together we strive to cultivate a community that not only challenges injustice, but also celebrates the triumphs of its members as they navigate their paths to success. Join us at Healthy Initiative, where your goals are not just recognised but actively pursued and achieved.
Our Moving Forward Project has been created with a specific focus on improving wellbeing and mental health. Through providing Acupuncture, walking groups and counselling services, we believe we can encourage participants to develop some essential skills to allow them to focus on their own personal development. The recreational component of our project promotes friendliness and companionship within the context of relaxation and exercise.
Everything we do at Healthy Initiative is underpinned by education and the notion that knowledge is power. This supercharges a person’s self-confidence and allows them to unlock their potential.
